Artist's Comments

=kittynn is holding a contest for either a year's subscription to dA or a prints account. Guess which one I want? I've been trying to find a way to get a prints account for months, as my dad won't let me buy it myself, but I hadn't been able to find it until now. Here's hoping! ;P

Anyways, this is my first attempt. God it's been a long time since I last drew anything. It's possible that I'll try another one or two, but I'm not really sure.

I used one 3B lead and one 5B lead pencil and copied this from my computer screen. Do you have any idea how hard it is to eyeball something off a 15" laptop screen? It took me over five hours just to get this far, and I ended up liking it a lot despite the fact that I had planned to go further. I think I'll leave it here; I was never too good with hair by hand. :)

This version is a bit shrunken. If you want to see the original resolution photo, go here. Much better detail.

And finally, the stock image I used was this one: [link] . It might not be up for very much longer, but hey- at least I tried to credit it.

:blushes: Thanks. I'm annoyed with the lighting, and it's sad that you can't really see the shading or the freckles (had to do those), but otherwise I think it's pretty cool myself. :aww:
